Ryoichi Ikegami is one of the most naturalistic manga artists with a distinctive style that is wholly his own. Ikegami is Rumiko Takahashi's favorite manga artist and one of her biggest inspirations to enter the profession herself. The brand-new Urusei Yatsura pachislot machine (known as "Pachislot Urusei Yatsura") is being released in parlors across Japan today. On her Twitter account, it was announced that Rumiko Takahashi's new artbook, Colors 1978-2024 has sold over 10,000 copies in its first week of release. Takahashi-sensei's annual short story published in Big Comic Original is out today. This year we see the story of Futoshi Mayuda who finds himself falling in love with a young girl who is younger than his live-at-home daughter who seems to have no plans on getting married or moving out despite being 29 years old. Rumiko Takahashi and Yoko Kondo
We have two newly translated interview with Rumiko Takahashi and her high school classmate and noted mangaka Yoko Kondo. Kondo has had a career publishing manga in the avant-garde manga magazine Garo.
