For The Love of Akane

"Gosunkugi and the Magic Paper Dolls"- Another Gosenkugi idiot-fest. This episode rates highly with me just on the note that its freaking hilarious. Gosunkugi gets the power to make anyone follow any command, and I'll just say most of them backfire on him. I actually had to see it again because I wasn't done laughing.

The second story is called, "Akane's Unfathomable Heart." and the title says it all. It revolves around a ten-year old kid named Satori (supposed to be from a fairy tale or something, must be a Japanese-only one), who can read minds. He looks really good in the beginning, when he reads Ryoga like a book, but it appears Ryoga's the ONLY one he can read. As you can guess, trying to break into the minds of the likes of Happosai and Nabiki can be VERY hazardous to your health. Anyways, as for the end of this story, lets just say its another nail in the coffin for anti-Ranma/Akane fans. Decent story all around though.

The last episode of season six is titled, "Master and Student... Forever." They actually did a good job with this one. Lots of cross-dressing, hitting, vomiting (yes I said vomiting), and Ranma is involved in NONE of it. Well hey, imagine Happosai stuck to Ranma for a day. Yup, the possibilities are endless. However, as much hell as Happosai puts Ranma through, Ranma finally gets his revenge at the end, subjecting Happosai to the most HORRIBLE FORM OF TORTURE KNOWN TO MAN, so terrible I can't even bear to repeat it. When you see it, you will agree with me. The final disc of season six was pretty good. Like most of its predecessors, no real "throwaway" episodes. I strongly recommend it.

Where "For the Love of Akane" ranks in season six:

1. The Demon from Jusenkyo
2. Wacky Winter Wonderland
3. For the Love of Akane
4. Ukyo's Secret Sauce
5. Pandamonium
6. Who Do? Voodoo
7. Watermelon Beach
8. The Way We're Not
