109: 注目のイベント
Chuumoku no ibento
(The Attention-Grabbing Event)
While visiting a public pool Sakura sees a ghostly girl tumble off the diving board and fall into the pool below. The girl also appears in photographs taken around the pool as well. Sakura takes the photograph to Rinne and points out that the ghost even managed to sign it. When Rinne goes to confront the spirit she autographs his shirt and proceeds to jump into other people's photos as well. It seems she thinks of herself as a celebrity. In an attempt to help her move on to the next world Rinne uses a paper lantern to send young male ghosts to ask for her autograph, hoping this will fulfill her earthly desires. When this does not work, Rokumon uses a paintball to make everyone else able to see her. She begins to toss masses of autographed photos at everyone, and Rinne tries to quell her with other illusory lanterns by showing her images of pandas and bowls of ramen. By the end she expresses her desire to visit Hollywood and win an Academy Award. Ultimately she has to be satisfied with being featured on a TV show about ghostly phenomena.

110: 黒猫段位テスト
Kuroneko dani tesuto
(The Black Cat Ranking Exam)
Rokumon informs Rinne that it is the time of year when black cat's have to take their examinations. Rinne gently refuses when Rokumon mentions there is a five-hundred yen fee to take the test, but when the little cat adds that black cat's of a certain rank get a ten percent discount on all Shinigami tools Rinne readily agrees to let him take the exam. Inside the testing room, Rokumon sees Suzu scratching a wall out of boredom and unable to concentrate on her exams. Outside all of the Shinigami wait for their partners to finish testing and Rinne runs into Ageha and Kain. Soon the black cats all come out to greet their master's. Oboro cockily reports that the test was too easy, while Suzu cheerfully reports that she was thrown out for making noise. Soon the results are posted and Rinne proudly congratulates Rokumon for scoring 80 points. Shockingly Oboro scored zero after believing he did so well because he forgot to write his name on his paper. Suzu happily reports that she remembered to write her name, and the test proctor tells her that she earned five points for managing that much. Kain is smugly pleased that at least his black cat was able to beat Ageha's. The next portion of the exam is an obstacle course race. Right out of the gate little Rokumon gets trampled and Suzu immediately gets distracted by the cat toys that are scattered about. Oboro starts strong but soon his temper gets the better of him and he is disqualified for leaving the course to shout at the proctors. The ultimate goal is to reach the end of the course and retrieve their master's scythe, but one of the examiners points out that they have unleashed bugs from hell that are slowly devouring the scythes. The longer the black cat's take the more damaged their weapon becomes. A pile of fish distracts Rokumon who decides collecting the food for he and Rinne so they won't starve is more important than the test. Much to everyone's surprise Suzu managed to lead herself from one toy to the next until reaching Kain's staff, which she promptly saved from further harm. The final leg of the exam is a "spirit of cooporation" test. Rinne and Rokumon confidently vow to win this challenge.

111: 猫タワーの戦い
Neko tawaa no tatakai
(Battle at Cat Tower)
A massive cat condo looms over the shinigami and their black cats with the goal posted high atop it. Suzu cheerfully grabs hold of the end of Rinne's badly damaged scythe, swinging around on it until it snaps under her weight. She then immediately proceeds to do the same thing to Ageha's scythe, which gives she and Kain a great advantage as the race begins. More of the dastardly little creatures that eat scythes begin to rain down on the racers and destroy their weapons even more. Kain, with his mirror still mostly intact manages to blast the creatures away and he and Suzu take an early lead. Rinne powers through close behind and manages to wrap his scythe in tape to protect it from further destruction, while Oboro and Ageha struggle to work together. Ahead lay a series of mysterious floating doors which teleport anyone who walks through them to different places. Rokumon dashes through one and finds himself at Shoma's house with his black cat butler, Kurosu. Suzu followed Rokumon, but Kurosu quickly becomes annoyed with her and tosses her out the window, which teleports her back to the bottom of the cat condo. Crafty Rokumon notices a large key sitting behind Shoma, but when he and all the other arriving black cats try to take it, ultra-powerful Kuroso easily tosses them out and sends them back towards the bottom of the race course.

112: 協力しよう!
Kyouryokushou!
(Let's Work Together!)
Rokumon explains to the others that the key is sitting behind Shoma in his room, but the ultra-powerful Kurosu stands vigil and prevents anyone from getting close. All of the cats decide to wait until Kurosu takes a break before they return, and they burst into the room right at three o'clock as he prepares a plate of donuts for Shoma. Kurosu deftly tosses out cat treats for everyone, which distracts them from their goal. Oboro proves that he is not so easily distracted and he lunges for the key and carries Shoma off as well. With a wave of his magic cat wand, Kurosu summons a giant cat paw that crushes wily Oboro and sends the key flying. Acting fast, Rokumon sweeps in and catches the key and the little cat quickly unlocks the door, but all the other shinigami and black cats dash through the open door ahead of him and Rinne. Kain takes a late lead, knocking away other competitors as he tries to reach the piece of paper stuck to the spike at the top of the cat condo. He easily dispatches Ageha, but Rinne manages to hold him off while Rokumon flies ahead. Suzu rides on Rokumon's giant cat head to try and hitch a ride, but the little black cat shrinks down and dives for the paper slip. Below Ageha angrily yells at Oboro and thows some of her skull bombs at him, launching him through the air which allows him to grap the paper and win the race. Unfortunately in his anger at Ageha he rips the paper apart, and no one wins the discount.

113: バトルロイヤル
Batoru roiyaru
(Battle Royale)
Everyone gathers at the Kuroneko Dome to award the prizes earned during the competition. Most of the shinigami are quite irritated due to the damage their scythes suffered. Almost all of the black cats are given coupons for various prizes and quickly scatter around the dome to redeem them from the vendor booths that are set up on the periphery. Watching over the proceedings are Shoma and Kurosu. Oboro quickly purchases fireworks and begins tossing them at his fellow cat competitors which helps him gain an early advantage. Rokumon does his best to use his coupons sparingly by buying a ton of steel ball bearings and a magnet so he can easily retrieve them once he throws them at people. Suzu, unfortunately, simply buys food and does not bother to participate in the rest of the competition. Rokumon initially does well until he loses his magnet and ball bearings, and Oboro accidently detonates his basket of fireworks by dropping a match on them in the heat of battle.

114: 多勢に無勢
Tazei ni buzei
(Fearfully Outnumbered)
The chase continues as Oboro and Rokumon try to elude the pack of competitors. Rokumon swiftly deals with a large number of them by using a special pen which draws a hole for the pack to fall into. While an impressive feat, the pen cost 2,900 which is quite expensive to Rinne who's funding Rokumon. Working together Rokumon and Oboro manage to defeat another large pack of competitors which ultimately leaves them with Suzu and a few more cats vying for the win. Suzu is oblivious to the action going on around her as she casually eats a banana and tosses the peel away. Unfortunately Oboro slips on it and careens outside of the boundary which results in his disqualification, and he takes Rokumon's hole-drawing pen with him. Alone Rokumon becomes the target of the older, larger black cats that loom over him. Rinne cannot stand to watch his partner getting beaten and calls out that he can use the valuable coupon they were holding onto to buy some weapons. With new implements at his disposal Rokumon easily defeats the older cats and wins the prize, but at quite a financial loss to Rinne. His ultimate reward? A trophy of a black cat which he proudly shows Sakura when they return home.

115: 呪いのワラ人形
Noroi no wara ningyo
(The Cursed Straw Doll)
Coach Suzuki brings a wrapped box to Rinne in class, which Rinne happily realizes is a multi-tiered bento box filled with delicious food. Later that afternoon while walking home from school, Rika and Miho discuss the use of straw dolls in cursing people. As they pass a local temple a chill comes over Sakura who stares up the long, set of stairs that lead to the darkened shrine. Going up the stairs, they see an eerie looking woman nailing a a straw doll to a tree. It turns out the that woman, Kano, is a ghost, and she sends cowardly Rika and Miho fleeing, leaving Sakura to investigate the straw doll. When she touches it, the doll disintergrates and leaves behind a note that was tucked inside its body with a drawing of Coach Suzuki on it. Sakura alerts Rinne who returns to the scene and uses a mystical aerosol spray that makes the nailed straw doll reappear. As soon as he does this Kano, the ghostly woman, returns and tries to prevent him from disturbing the effigy. The ghost woman explains that Suzuki was a student teacher at her school. One day she overheard him telling some of her male classmates that he did not have a girlfriend, and so she confessed her feelings to him. Time passed and after he gave his farewell speech at the end of his student teaching the ghost girl expected to hear from him, perhaps with the expectation that they could have some sort of relationship. A year passed and Suzuki never got in touch with her, until suddenly Suzuki was assigned to her school again. Once again she saw him chatting with some boys and he revealed that he now had a girlfriend. In her jealousy over being spurned by Suzuki Kano angrily nailed a straw doll to a tree years ago, and shortly thereafter died of food poisoning. Rinne tries to rectify things with Suzuki while the ghost girl watches invisibly from the sidelines, but Suzuki puts his foot in his mouth, angering her even more by saying he does not remember her at all.
