Nae Kogure

Nae met Yuta in the years before World War II. She learned of his curse of immortality and told him of the Mermaid's Ashes she used on a hill of flowers causing them to bloom all year. Soon Yuta and Nae fell in love and began meeting in private in Red Valley, where Nae had spread the ashes.

Nae's fiancee Eijiro became jealous of Yuta, but never believed Nae would betray him, so he lured her to Red Valley to test her loyalty. When she arrived Eijiro was so shocked at her betrayal that he strangled her to death. Many years later Eijiro found the Mermaid's Ashes and brough Nae back to life, but Nae was only a shadow of her former self.

Sometimes Nae would go into murderous trances, but Eijiro would overlook them, because he was in love with her. With Yuta finally gone he had complete control over her. When Yuta reappears Eijiro will stop at nothing to keep Nae from reuniting with her lover.
