Finally the game we've all wanted has been announced! A fighting game for the Playstation Portable featuring characters from both Shonen Sunday and Magazine. Inuyasha is definitely appearing, along with characters from: Air Gear, Hajime no Ippo, Fairy Tail, Cromartie High School, Negima!, Hayate the Combat Butler, Zettai Karen Children, Kekkaishi, Shijo Saikyo no Deshi Kenichi and Kyukoku Chojin R! Oversized Urusei Yatsura Manga
Shougakukan Creative announced that they released manga books that are printed in the same size as the original hand drafts (B4). The first twovolumes are Rumiko Takahashi and Mizuki Shigeru. Eleven chapters were selected from Urusei Yatsura. This publication, showcases the original size of the drawings may give you different perspective on the illustrations than other published forms. Release Date for Final Inuyasha Book + Extra
The final volume of Inuyasha (56) will be released on February 18th. Shogakukan is planning on releasing a special book on the same day entitled "Inuyasha Tokubetsu Henshuu: Inuyasha to Kagome", and will retail for 900 yen. This is most likely another compiliation resource similar to the previously released "Inuyasha & Sesshomaru" special. Source: Rumic World

Inuyasha Wins Award
This completely slipped by us last month, but Inuyasha was one of 17 manga that was awarded the Jury Recommended Works award in the story manga category in the Media Arts Awards. Viz President Interviewed
Yesterday the Yomiuri Shimbun published an interview with Viz Media President Seiji Horibuchi. In the interview Horibuchi reveals that Viz was in a tough financial situation until the publication of Ranma 1/2 saved the company. As a result Takahashi was invited to the 1994 San Diego Comic Con. Takahashi's Next Series Slated for Spring!
Websunday has announced that Rumiko Takahashi's next series will begin in the magazine this Spring! No exact date or title has been mentioned yet, but we now have a time frame. Additionally, the covers for the final volume of Inuyasha and the previously mentioned Inuyasha Tokubetsu Henshuu: Inuyasha to Kagome collection have been revealed. Source: Websunday

More It's A Rumic World News
Websunday has announced that the "It's a Rumic World" gallery show will be heading to Niigata, Takahashi's home town on March 7th through April 12th. Full details about the location can be found here. They make special mention that the show will air all of the new OVAs as well as contain the My Lum artwork and Maison Ikkoku model from the Tokyo show. Also this week in Shonen Sunday one of Takahashi's old pieces of color art was used to advertise the newly released final collected volume of Inuyasha. Source: Websunday.net

Diamond to Stop Distributing 1,018 Viz Volumes
Diamond Comic Distributors have announced that they will no longer re-stock over 1,000 Viz volumes. Takahashi titles affected by this include: the six volumes of The Return of Lum, all of Maison Ikkoku, half of Mermaid Saga, and all of the Inuyasha Ani-manga. Kappei Yamaguchi at Sakura-Con
Kappei Yamaguchi, the voice of Ranma Saotome and Inuyasha will be attending this year's Sakura-Con. The event will take place April 10-12 in Seattle and will mark Yamaguchi's second trip to the United States. Source: Anime News Network

Manga Discussion in Yomiuri Shimbun
Writer and anatomist Takeshi Yoro discussed manga in yesterday's edition of the paper. Inuyasha Cell Phone Site Opens
Shonen Sunday annouced that a new website to commemorate the completion of the Inuyasha manga will be going online from February 18th through March 31st. Mariko Ishihara Gossip
One of the more sensational news stories going around Japan right now is that Mariko Ishihara (Kyoko in the 1986 live action film) is marrying her ex-lover Koji Tamaki. The two had an affair in the 80s while Tamaki was married, and in her tell-all book Ishihara made claims that he was physically and sexually abusive towards her. Shogakukan Manga Award Ceremony

Tetsuya Chiba wrote on his blog that he met with Mitsuru Adachi, Isami Ishii and Rumiko Takahashi at the awards ceremony where Adachi was being honored. His blog post reads, "Every year on March 3rd, it's the day of the Shogakukan Manga Award ceremony at the same time. This year, Mitsuru Adachi, who drew "Cross Game" in the juvenile category, won the award, so I went to the Imperial Hotel to celebrate. This is the second time Adachi has won the award for "Touch" and "Miyuki" 26 years ago. On the far left is the winner, Mitsuru Adachi, and in the middle is Rumiko Takahashi. Rare Takahashi Drawing to Debut
Before Kuriyama Village was merged with Nikko city it held an annual Kappa festival every year from 1987 to 2003. Each year the city would invite manga artists to draw a kappa. Tamiki Wagaki's Inspiration
Tamiki Wagaki, the author of one of Shonen Sunday's newest hits, The World That Only God Knows mentions Takahashi as one of his inspirations not only for the series but as his main motivation for becoming a mangaka in the first place. Rumiko Returns!
The early rumors floating around various places on the net have Rumiko Takahashi's next series as set to debut in the Shonen Sunday double issue #21/22. The issue will hit stores in Japan on Wednesday, April 23rd which means Tuesday for us in the USA. The title is still unknown at this early date, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear something. Sunday/Magazine 50th Anniversary Party
Shonen Sunday and Shonen Magazine both published their 50th anniversary issues this week, and in addition to this, both had a lavish party in Tokyo. 158 mangaka were on hand, and Takahashi was there, where she gave a speech and drew an image of Lum alongside some other legendary creators. BoA Interview
Liz Ohanesian, a writer for the LA Weekly recently did an interview with BoA, the Korean singer who performed the Inuyasha ending theme "Every Heart". Along with the news of Inuyasha Kanketsuhen hitting the airwaves October 15th in Japan, Shonen Sunday has provided further information regarding the three 'It's a Rumic World' OVAs. Inuyasha Store Opens in Tokyo
An Inuyasha Shop will open in the Kichjoji Parco Department Store in Tokyo. The store will remain opened from Dec. 16 - Jan. 4, and will sell limited edition Inuyasha items. Kappei Yamaguchi will also be on hand to sign autographs on Dec. 23. Source: Anime News Network
