Mr. Zen is an old man who lives in the neighborhood and is friends with the old woman who is often seen scattering water in front of her home. He is warned not to go see Dr. Tofu while Kasumi is visiting.

This rich man finds P-chan wandering around the city, and he and his wife decide to adopt him, renaming him "Tonkichi". The couple promises him that he will inherit their fortune. The couple's last name, Ogane (大金), means "big money".

Kinnosuke is the father of Kaori. Over ten years ago Genma traded Ranma to Kinnosuke for a fish, a bowl of rice and two pickles. Kinnosuke had planned to raise baby Ranma as his heir so he could marry Kaori. His appearance is based on Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods.

Sasuke Sarugakure (猿隠佐助)

Sasuke is introduced in the anime to replace Hikaru Gosunkugi initially. He is the 1th generation guardian of the House of Kuno. Sasuke functions as the Kuno family's inept ninja charged with carrying out their orders. He usually fails, and has come quite close to losing his job many times.

Kinnii (キンニー)

Kinnii is a large and powerful martial artist sent by a group of Jusenkyo Guides to punish those who had been misusing their Jusenkyo curses. Kinnii winds up falling into the "Spring of Virtuous Man", and no longer wishes to fight. He is a poweful fighter who practices the Blue Dragon Sword Muscle School of martial arts.

The Chairman of the Jusenkyo Morals Committee has some misgivings about sending the overly enthusiastic Kinnii to sort out the rulebreakers, however the vice-chairman assures him that he will keep an eye on Kinnii.

Vice-Chairman (副委員長)

The vice-chairman watches out for Kinnii and helps restore him when he is splashed with cold water and becomes a pacifist. The vice-chairman shares in Kinnii's enthusiasm about punishing thoses who do not adhere to the strict moral codes of the Jusenkyo Morals Committee.

Chengensai (珍玄斉)

Soun and Genma begin training under martial arts master Chengensai. Chengensai attempts to teach them his "Invisible Man" trick, but Genma and Soun are later shocked to learn that he and Happosai are old friends. His name is written with the kanji for "rare" and "mysterious" plus the same "sai" (斉) as found in "Happosai".

Mio is a classmate of Akane's at Furinkan High. She comes from a long line of fortune-tellers. When she gives a tarot reading to Akane, she predicts that Ranma and Akane will wed in five days, but that terrible misfortune tied to Happosai will befall their home as well.

Rin-Rin (Ling-Ling) (リンリン)

Rin-Rin and her sister, Ran-Ran, are from the same Chinese village as Shampoo. They travel to Japan to see if Shampoo has killed female Ranma (as per Shampoo's "Kiss of Death" given to female Ranma when they first met). Once they see that female Ranma is still alive the duo attack her. They later come back to get rid of Ranma's fiancées in order to speed along Shampoo and Ranma's marriage. The Viz adaptation phoneticizes her name as "Ling-Ling".

Ran-Ran (Lung-Lung) (リンリン)

Like her twin siste, Rin-Rin, Ran-Ran has come to check on Shampoo's progress in defeating female Ranma. While in Japan, she uses her special technique, the Dance of the Great Fire Dragon, that has allegedly made the duo invincible back in their village in China. Evil Ranma (悪いらんま)

When Ranma make a passing comment that he would consider staying a girl forever, Happosai is able to use magical insense to split male and female Ranma, however the ghostly female Ranma embodies Ranma's bad side. She tries to lure male Ranma away and violently attacks anyone that tries to stop her.

A martial artist who is an incredible mimic, Ken is able to imitate anyone with a wave of his kerchief. Not only can he copy their appearance, but he is able to mimic all of their strongest techniques flawlessly as well.

Happosai tells everyone that Sakura is Genma's long lost love and the mother of Ranma. However, after much nervousness, it is revealed that she is actually a ringmaster for a traveling circus that is hoping to hire Ranma and Genma due to their abilities to transform. In the credits she is billed as "Female Leader" despite her name being said a number of times in the episode.

Pig (豚)

As Ryoga seeks shelter from a storm at night, nearby farmers are searching for their pigs who have escaped their enclosure. This little pig takes shelter with Ryoga, becoming smitten when she realizes he is P-chan after he briefly got wet from the rain in her presence. When he leaves, she hide in his backpack and travels with him back to Tokyo.

Torajiro Higuma (ひぐまとらじろう)

Higuma was the new teacher at Furinkan High School. Most of the students thought he would be another tough teacher, but Higuma turned out to be very attentive to the students and encourage them to explore their passions with great exuberance. He tried to get them to "appreciate their youth", before he left to go help another school. His last name means "brown bear" (ひぐま).

Heita is the nice, polite, and caring new student at the Tendo Dojo who impresses everyone with his earnestness and desire to work hard. Happosai takes him under his wing, but Ranma seriously does not like him. His last name is written with the kanji for "peace" and "plump" (平太).

Midori is the kind-hearted local nursery school teacher that hates the neighborhood panty thief. Happosai has a crush on Midori, and tries to change his ways for her going so far to volunteer at her school. Ultimately however, he fails to curb his panty-stealing ways.

Gindo (銀堂)

Gindo is a childhood friend of Sasuke's who is staying at the Kuno home. Tatewaki Kuno does not believe that Gindo is able to predict his future, so Gindo makes some small predictions to prove it. When Kuno asks who he will marry, Gindo mistakenly forecasts Nabiki, much to Kuno's dismay who expected Gindo to help him choose between Akane Tendo or the Pig-tailed Girl.

Yasukichi (安吉)

Yasukichi, an expert at catching eggs due to his childhood on a poulty farm, was a little boy when he moved away from Nerima. He used to have a crush on Kasumi, and is happy to see that she is still living there. Upon visiting he does not reveal his former connection and soon realizes that Dr. Tofu, who treats him after he is attacked by a dog, is in love with Kasumi.

Red Thread of Fate Salesman (運命の赤い糸のセールスマン)

After trying to sell Cologne some herbal remedy for her stiff shoulders, Shampoo notices he is selling a red thread of fate that is supposed to bind her to her lover and future husband. She hopes to use it to tie herself to Ranma.

Mousse's Mother (ムースの母)

Mousse's mother writes to him from the Village of the Amazons, expressing he hope that he will marry Shampoo and return to China as she is starting to get older.

Temari Kaminarimon (雷門てまり)
Voice: Minori Matsushima & Chantal Strand
This little girl practices Shitamachi Martial Arts, or "Good Old Days Martial Arts". She manages to defeat Akane in battle, and win the Tendo Dojo sign, but is later defeated when Akane sees through her attack thanks to Kasumi's help in making Akane focus rather than get lost in nostalgic rememberances of their mother.

Hyottoko/Tatsukichi Komagataya (ひょっとこ/龍吉)

Ryukichi dresses in a hyottoko mask and practices the Shitamachi tyle of martial arts which makes use of nostalgic toys and old-timey skills. His main focus is on using cards from the game "menko" to battle his opponents.

Ultra/Kumajiro Kaminarimon (ウルトラ/雷門熊次郎)

Dressing in an Ultraman mask, Kumajiro Kaminarimon is Temari's grandfather and is the 11th head of the Shitamachi School of Martial Arts and elder of the League for the Preservation of Street Culture.

Tea Server (茶坊主)

The tea server greets Sentaro's Grandmother, the matriarch of the Daimonji School of Martial Arts Tea Ceremony and updates her about the upcoming hydrangea ceremony, he is shocked to learn that she plans on standing up there after remaining in a seated position for many years. He is credited a "Tea Server" (茶坊主/chabozu), but appropriately the term can also mean "flatterer" or "sycophant".

One of the elder disciples of the Daimonji School of Tea Ceremony Martial Arts, she warns Sentaro about the ominous implications of his grandmother standing up for the first time in memory and offers him a record of what happened with the 9th grandmaster of the Daimonji School stood up in 1716.

Daitokuji is the captain of a team of male rhythmic gymnast martial artists and is attempting to steal the Three Sacred Treasures of Rhythmic Gymnastics in order to assert the importance of men in the sport over women.

With Yutaro too withdrawn to oversee the Royal Prince Okura Hotel, the manager has no choice but to try to draw in customers. When the Tendo family arrives he hopes that one of the sisters will be a suitable bridal candidate for his withdrawn master.

Yutaro Yudono (湯殿湯太郎)

Heir and inheritor of the remote Royal Prince Okura Hotel, when Yutaro was unable to find a bride before the death of his father and give him grandchilden, he became dour and retreated to the hot spring baths of his hotel. Because the waters of the hotel's hot springs were rumored to be good for enhancing martial artist's abilities, only burly men would come to the remote destination, further preventing Yutaro from ever finding a suitable bride. Living in the baths, he developed a special bath-centric style of martial arts. His last name is an archaic word that means "bathing attendant" and both his first and last name have the kanji for "hot water" in them.

The Frog Hermit (カエル仙人)
Voice: Ryuji Saikachi & French Tickner
The Frog Hermit comes to Tokyo to take revenge on Ranma who does not recall knocking him into the Spring of Drowned Frog. Using his trained frogs to fight, the Hermit threatens to turn Ranma into a frog, and claims to have done as much to Ryoga, Shampoo and Genma. Even when cursed, the Frog Hermit can still speak while in his frog-form, unlike other Jusenkyo animal transformations. He returns again in episode 141 to try and retrieve the immortality-granting dragon's meat.

Crepe Joe (クレープのジョー)

The Crepe King, Joe, opens a crepe food truck in Nerima that causes Ukyo to lose customers. When she challenges him to a match, she is defeated and realizes that thanks to having gone soft after falling in love with Ranma, he okonomiyaki lacks the needed fortitude to stand against Joe's new crepes.

Sankichi Uragishi (裏棋士三吉)

Sankichi arrives at the Tendo home to challenge Genma to a game of shogi. Sankichi had lost to Genma in a previous match, giving him his only loss. Sankichi does not realize that Genma cheated to win, and when he loses once more, Sankichi dons his shogi piece costume and has a game involving both the Tendos and Saotomes. Sankichi also thinks that all the women he sees look like his wife and tries to abscond with Akane after deciding she is his missing Koharu. The family name "Uragishi" (裏棋士) means "hidden shogi player".

Ushinosuke Oshamanbe is eye-patch wearing clan wrecking havoc on local ranchers including Anna and her grandfather. He is a practicioner of Western Martial Arts and rides a steer named Kotaro who also wears an eye-patch. The first kanji in his name is, appropriately, "cow" (牛/ushi).

The Seaweed Thief is a legendary character in a story told by Happosai that eats anything that has seaweed on it, and then leaves bits of seaweed on other people's faces to make them look like they were the ones that ate it. The Seaweed Goblin is a legendary character in a story told by Genma that eats anything that has seaweed on it, and then leaves bits of seaweed on other people's mouths to make them look like they were the ones that ate it. The goblin portion of its name, "nyudo" refers to a bald monster that has a shaved head (like a monk, hence "nyudo" meaning "priest" or "monk" but also referring to this specific type of creature).

Sarutoru manages to kidnap Ukyo for himself, but no one seems interested in rescuing her. Unfortunately for Sarotoru the more depressed Ryoga gets the more powerful his Shi Shi Hakodan is.
