Jpop Pages |
Leading search engine and link directory for Japanese entertainment. An invaluable resource that'll help you find pages on any J-pop related subject you wish to find. The search engine is not as reliable as it could be however, but nobody's perfect I guess. |
| J!-ENT
|
One of the most extensive sites about all aspects of Japanese entertainment. Music, fashion, movies, television, celebrities, mp3, gossip, karaoke. The site has even more value if you subscribe to the J-pop mailing list. This is because sometimes the maintainer will put up special stuff exclusively for J-pop ML members. |

| CD
Japan |
Vast selection of both major and indie releases. Anime as well. Even if you want something that isn't in stock, they can find any CD or video you can think of in less than a week. Fast delivery too. My most frequented online store. Great for fringe and indie music since most stores focus more on popular top 40 stuff. |
| Japanime.com
|
Another great and reputable online store. Selection is good with most of the top selling artists, but you probably won't see many rare CDs on site. They have a finder service to locate goods, but from my experience it hasn't been reliable. Never once did I get a reply to a finder request. It may be just me though. |
| DEODEO.COM |
A promising online store that has a nice selection and is often cheaper than the competition because they offer free shipping. But damn it all, I can't try them out. They currently only offer the service to the U.S.A. and don't even sell to Canada yet. |
| Asia
CD |
At first glance it seems as if this site only has Chinese music, but there's a fair selection of Japanese music as well. All of the Japanese CDs are not Japananese versions, but Hong Kong export versions. You basically get the same thing anyway and it's often 40% cheaper. |
| eAsiaGate
|
All
kinds of Asian goods from books to food to furniture. They also have quite
a lot of Japanese goods among other Asian entertainment products, most notably
CDs. Nearly all of the Japanese music CDs are official export versions which
are quite a bit cheaper than originals. |
| Tokyo
Pop |
They sell a lot of anime and manga, but look around and you'll also find Japanese pop and rock CDs. Selection's not too bad. |
| 2nd
Hand CD Shop |
There's
a section for Japanese releases here. If you're lucky you may find a CD
you've been looking for used for a really good price. This site acts mostly
as a moderator between those interested in selling and those who want to
buy. The pickings are sometimes really slim, and sometimes there's a lot
of good deals. Since it's dealing with used CDs you have to expect that
sort of thing. A lot more hassle than most of the stores above, but it's
much easier on your poor suffering bank account. |

to Buy Japanese Music |
Not an online store, but a page that lists some popular stores that sell J-music in California, Hawaii and Toronto. |
