Appearing in Shonen Sunday Graphic magazine during the 80's, Takahashi's
own journal Kemo*kobiru no nikki puts a humorous spin on the real events
from Takahashi's life. She's joined by her two live-in assistants, Kuniko
and Makiko along with her editors, coleagues and other people that come
in and out of her life. For fans of her work, or those interested in what
it's like to be a manga artist, these comics provide a fascinating and
funny look into the life of a manga-ka. This may be the first time
these comics have been made available to the public. To all you takaholics
this is for you.
Issues #2 , #4, #5, #9 and #11 have been translated. Note these manga
are in the Japanese sense (read from right to left).
Number 10 is on its way as soon as I get a chance to scan and upload
it. As for #1, I was never able to find the first issue of SSG so we start
at the second one. I may also add the one-shot about Rumiko and her cat.
I also have two solo comics featuring Makiko and Kuniko which are pretty
funny. They were created in response to the movie Beautiful Dreamer, where
they discribe some weird dreams they've had.
If anyone would like to volunteer to do a translated script for one of
these, send me an e-mail.
