Katori Buta

The Katori Buta is a ceramic pig-shaped item that is used to hold a coil of mosquito repellant. When lit, the coil slowly burns and lets out a scent that mosquitos find irritating. Items such as this often appear in manga that are set in the summertime. The insence itself is known as "Katori Senkou".
