Interior Ch. Note: This is my second work after winning the Newcomers Manga Award. I'm doing my best without fail. Additionally, a new serialization is scheduled in for issue 39 of this magazine. I put Lum on the panel we were making and used colored paper. Then a guy said, "Wow, you're imitating Rumiko Takahashi!" But he'd read it, hadn't he? I was happy.

Shonen Sunday Zokan - May 25th

Wherever people live, there will always be garbage, and wherever there is garbage there will always be cockroaches. Of course, I'm a big cockroach. However, I am impressed by its strong vitality. In this work I would like to draw a character with a strong vitality like a cockroach.

Volume 1-2

I hope that 1983 will be another good year. Every year notwithstanding your heart is renewed. This is one of those days.

Volume 3-4

For New Year's Day I'm going to my parents house. I want to eat as soon as I get there.

I played on a computer the other day. The graphics will appear in issues 7 and 10. More details in the next issue.

The CG I played with the other day will be in issue 7. I'm not good with mechanical stuff but it was interesting.

Was that the CG I drew? It's pretty good for a first time, isn't it?

I can see Mount Fuji from my workroom on a clear day, but I'm annoyed that a building is blocking the view.

I went to the Nagoya/Osaka area preview of the new Urusei Yatsura movie. It was really fun.

I saw the movie of Urusei Yatsura at the preview. It's interesting. Everyone should see it.

Ah... Number 97 was pulled. They transfered him after how many years? He did his job perfectly!

I'm overwhelmed by the mountains of garbage... I wonder why there's so much?

It snowed heavily the other day. I was working so hard I didn't even notice the thunder.

I have just finished writing Sleep and Forget to be published in the "New Year's Special Issue," and I'm feeling tired and at ease.

It's almost Christmas! After that, New Year's! When that is over... I'll be back at work...

I guess we will find out in the New Year if we’re happy for the new year or not. But at any rate, I wish you a happy new year.

I went back to my hometown for New Year's Day, but I didn't have much time to rest because I was always helping out. Boom boom!

It's been a long time coming, but thank you very much for the New Year's cards. I feel encouraged every time I see them.

The other day I had a great conversation with Kazumasa Hirai. I heard a lot of fun stories, and learned a lot.
