Gekko Kamen

Gekko Kamen was the first masked hero, and his creation later inspired the multitude of other Japanese shows such as Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and Power Rangers.

He was created by Kohan Kawauchi and Jiro Kuwata a manga writer and artist duo that created his stories for Shonen Club magazine. Gekko Kamen is a normal human with excellent fighting skills and often rides into battle on his motorcycle.

Relevance to Urusei Yatsura

In episode 61, "The Mendo Family's Masquerade Ball" the quote "Heroes are supposed to come and go like the wind" is a pun based on the lyrics to the Gekko Kamen show.
